Hypothes.is is an educational software that functions as a "social annotation tool," allowing students and teachers to collaboratively add notes, comments, and highlights directly onto online readings, PDFs, or webpages. It can be used in class or outside of class for group assignments, allowing students to create threaded discussions within the text. Additionally, it can be used for individual assignments and students’ comments can be made public or kept private. Hypothes.is integrates with Canvas, making it easy to create and grade assignments.
