Student Assignments With AI

AI Series Workshop

Friday, November 8th, 2024 (11:00am-12:00pm, Zoom) 

In this final session, we'll shift the focus to students' use of AI in completing assignments and learning. Topics include developing AI fluency, setting clear AI policies for your class, and ensuring academic integrity in an AI-powered world. Learn how to guide students in using AI responsibly and effectively while upholding educational standards.

Recent Workshops

The Learning Design team offered a series of workshop sessions that explored the main educational technologies that are available to all ECAS faculty. Technologies in these workshops included the new-to-campus Gradescope, our lecture capture tool, Panopto, our asynchronous multimedia discussion tool, VoiceThread, and more. The discussion was centered on supporting classroom instructional goals and promoting engaging learning experiences for students. Emory College faculty highlighted the ways that they have utilized these tools in the classroom. In addition, the Learning Design team offered an Active Learning Strategies Workshop and a Audio Video Workshop. The Audio Video Workshop will be rescheduled due to inclament weather.

These back-to-school workshops explored the learning technologies available to all Emory College faculty. The technologies included: 
  • VoiceThread: a multimedia tool for threaded discussions & presentations using video, audio, and other media
  • Gradescope: an automated grading tool that expedites the grading of bubble sheets, other paper-based assignments, and digital assignments  
  • Panopto: the College’s primary video management tool that may be used for classroom lecture capture or production of videos by instructors and students

Emory College Teaching Essentials

This informative session covered classroom technology setup, such as connecting to classroom devices, accessing your content, using AV software, recording live class sessions, in addition to Canvas course essentials to support in-person learning.
